A Tale of Two Cities was written by Charles Dickens

It’s a classic

It’s about London and Paris

Today we’re talking about Twitter (TWTR) and NXP (NXPI)

Qualcomm (QCOM) is very close to buying NXP

The two sides are very close to an agreement.

NXP wants an all-cash deal of $120 per share

Qualcomm wants to pay $110 per share

It wants to pay 75% cash and 25% in stock

NXP closed at $104 after-hours

Its market cap is $35 billion

Qualcomm has $31 billion in cash

We have some money in our piggy bank Qualcomm

If you are shy a few dollars to make this deal happen

And then you have Twitter

Twitter soared on takeover rumors

This little birdy has come back to earth

Twitter is down 20% today as companies have withdrawn interest in making a bid for Twitter

Disney (DIS) Google (GOOGL) and Apple (AAPL) will not making a bid for Twitter

Google seemed like the best fit

Salesforce (CRM) is still a possibility

Especially since they lost out to Microsoft (MSFT) on buying LinkedIn (LNKD)

We couldn’t have tweeted this in 140 characters, so . . .
