Nike (NKE) reported earnings today after the bell

It reported EPS of 73 cents

That’s 17 cents higher than the estimate of 56 cents

Revenue was $9.06 billion

That’s higher than the estimate of $8.87 billion

The stock was down over 4% initially after reporting earnings

This is because inventories increased

And the future orders was less than the estimates

But the stock recovered during the conference call

It ended up being down only 2% after-hours

This makes it 17 straight quarters that Nike has beat earnings

Typically the stock doesn’t move very much after earnings

We’re NOT talking about his minor-league baseball career
